There’s something special about a crisp November morning, especially when it’s paired with golden fall leaves and a little bit of fog rolling through the trees. That’s exactly how Ava’s senior session started—cool and bright, with just the right amount of mist to make the autumn colors pop.
We kicked things off at Minto Brown Park, where Ava’s dogs joined in for some photos. There’s nothing better than including your furry best friends in your senior pictures, and they brought so much personality to the session! The wide-open grass fields gave us plenty of space to play, and the fog made everything look like a painting—muted, moody, and absolutely stunning. Ava put so much thought into her outfit choices, making sure each look complemented her red hair perfectly, and the result was a beautifully cohesive gallery of images that felt so her.
After wrapping up at Minto Brown, we headed downtown for a completely different vibe.
We wandered through a few alleys, stopping at my favorite spot—the red door. There’s something about that bold pop of color that makes for the best backdrop. Since the chilly morning air was still lingering, we popped into The Archive Coffee & Bar to warm up with a cup of coffee. This was such a fun way to capture a cozy, candid side of Ava—relaxed, in her element, and completely natural.
Ava’s love for theater showed up in the best way through her outfit choices. She brought a flapper-inspired look that transported us straight back to the 1920s, and let me tell you—she owned it. From the delicate details of her dress to the confidence she brought to the photos, every shot felt like a glimpse into another era. Since Ava also loves thrifting, we made a quick stop next door at Engelberg Antiks. Vintage treasures surrounded us, making for some unique, playful photos that fit her personality perfectly.
To wrap up her session, Ava changed into a 70s-inspired outfit and we headed to one of my favorite downtown locations. The warm, retro tones of her outfit paired with the textured city backdrops were a total dream. She brought so much confidence and creativity to every part of her session, and I love how her final gallery feels like a reflection of her—classic, artistic, and effortlessly cool.
