Working alongside other amazing photographers, some super talented vendors and models, and witnessing first hand the incredible detail that Dorthea puts into her work was awe inspiring! This was my first time visiting The Lightroom in Portland, Oregon-but it definitely will not be the last. What a gorgeous venue that you can rent by the hour or for the whole day. The way the light filled the room was amazing! I am totally itching to go back!
Each time slot had 25 photographers that had to work around each other to get the shot. It was really impressive how that many people can be in the same place and work so seamlessly together. There was a flat lay area to get all of those detailed shots, a tablescape and a reception area where the models were located.
I have worked with Rachel from Everglow Handmade before and her work is just amazing! If you are looking for a caligraphy artist-I cannot recommend her enough! Dallas did an incredible job on Ruby's makeup and hair. I think because I really am not very girly, I get super impressed seeing makeup look so natural and her hair was flawless.
Let's talk about the models for a second...this was my first time actually working with real models! Sure, most of my clients say they feel like models by the end of their session, but to actually work with true models was crazy! I literally had to close my mouth, because my jaw was just completely gaping! The constant movement and always thinking one step ahead was, I am not gonna lie, a little refreshing. But it was also weird because I didn't know them! I did find out that Bo writes his own music (which is pretty good-check it out!!).
The tablescape and cake were breathtaking! Serious works of art! Loved looking at all of the intricacies and being able to capture them. If you have ever had a slice of cake from Dreamcakes-you know that it is not just for show either, those things are amazing!!! If you are in Portland, stop by and grab yourself a little cake, you will not be disappointed!
Alright, are you ready to see some of the magic? Tons of great wedding inspiration here! And don't forget, if you need a photographer for your wedding-I'm your gal!
